Tuning the Rig

My dad and Diane were going to be stopping by to drop off Easter baskets for the boys around noon. Mike and I left at 8:00 for a 4 hour ride on the road and Kal-Haven trail on mountain bikes. We stopped at WMU to see a couple laps at the collegiate race on our way back home. I lost track of the number of guys checking out my bike. I guess a mountain bike with aerobars, 4 bottle cages and big wheels is something you don’t see everyday. I decided the gearing of 36:16 may be a little too much, but would only know once I got the race tires on the bike. During the visit, I was able to get the race tires on the bike. I will have to get out this weekend for another tuning ride on the Rig. The weather is not looking very promising for later this week, with highs falling from 72 on Tuesday to 37 on Wednesday. The temperatures are not going to move much until mid next week. They are even calling for some snow in our global warming climate.
